Declamation Fest, Creative Science Contest Winners

Mysore/Mysuru: Acharya Vidya Kula (AVK), Mysuru, hosted 6th Inter-School Sri V. Siddharthacharry Memorial English Declamation Fest and 2nd Creative Science Competition at its premises in city recently.

These competitions were open for the students of standard VII to X. Students of around 10 schools participated.

Manasarowara Pushkarini Vidyashrama, Mysuru, won the Rolling Shield instituted for the English competition.

Prize winners of the competitions are as follows:

English Poem Recitation: K. Anusha Bhat  (Manasarowar Pushkarini Vidyashrama, Mysuru) and Suhaib Ansari (St. Joseph Central School) – I Prize; Sowmya Nagesh (Manasarowar Pushkarini Vidyashrama, Mysuru) – II Prize; Padmini Iyengar (Manasarowar Pushkarini Vidyashrama, Mysuru) –                                                                III prize.

English Speech Presentation (Declamation): Ayushmaan Nayak (St. Joseph Central School), K.M. Kallathmika (National Public School) – I Prize; Aaray Singh (Manasarowar Pushkarini Vidyashrama) – II Prize; Hridaan Kothari (Excel Public School) and D.R. Hamsika (Jyothi Nivas School, Srirangapatna) – III Prize.

Prize winners in the Creative Science Competition are as follows:

Junior Category (Std. VII and VIII): Tasmayi Prasad and Ryan Saketh Reddy (National Public School) – I Prize; G. Prathamesh and Diganth V. Jain (Acharya Vidya Kula) – II Prize; Ayoon Sachdev and Sonaa Darshan (St. Joseph’s Central School) – III Prize; Senior Category (Std. IX and X).

Samarth Koushik and Ranupa Atharva (Manasarowara Pushkarini Vidyashrama) – I Prize; Nikhil Akash and V. Aarav (National Public School) – II Prize; K. Advithi and N. Vihaan (St. Joseph Central School) – III Prize

Viji Gopinath, Geetha Jagadesh Raman, Sunita Ganapathi and Meenu Brower were the Judges of the English competitions.

Mahesh Shivananjappa   and Jayachandan judged the Science Models of the students, according to a press release from the School Principal.
