Urges Mysuru District Savitha Samaja President

Mysore/Mysuru: “Declare barbers as unorganised workers,” demanded President of Mysuru District Savitha Samaja N.R. Nagesh.

During a programme held at the Savitha Samaja Office in Tilaknagar, where grocery kits were distributed by the Labour Department to all workers recently, Nagesh said, “It has been 74 years since India got Independence, yet there is no educational, financial and political equality given to the people of Savitha Samaja. I demand the State Government to declare barbers as unorganised workers.”

“Also many workers are suffering financially due to COVID-19 pandemic which affected the business, so the Government should provide financial help to the workers. I appreciate the work of the Labour Department for giving moral support by providing grocery kits to the workers,” he added.

District Labour Officer Rajesh Jadhav said, “People of Savitha Samaja should utilise the benefits given by the State Government. Community leader Nagesh and his team has worked hard towards the development of Savitha Samaja besides helping many workers financially during the                                                                                                       time of COVID.”

City General Secretary Harish Reddy, Raju Reddy, Charanraj, Srinivas, Premkumar, Shankar, Sridhar, Prasanna, Santhosh, Mahesh and others were present during the programme.
