Deepavali: City Top Cop announces Silence Zones in Mysuru City limits

Following an order issued by the Supreme Court, City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta has declared Silence Zones around a few places coming under Mysuru City Commissionerate limits.

Silence Zones are declared under The Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000, around 100 mts radius in areas around Mysuru Zoo, Kukkarahalli Lake, Karanji Lake, Lingambudhi Lake, public parks, hospitals and nursing homes, educational institutions, Courts and religious places from 6 am on Oct. 23 till Oct. 26 midnight.
