Delay in issue of DL by RTO (East) Mysuru

August 22, 2026

Sir,

My driving licence (DL) was due to expire on Jan. 31, 2026. I applied online for its renewal on Jan. 20, 2026. I paid the prescribed fee at a bank in Jayalakshmipuram and proceeded to the RTO (East) Office to submit the application.

As the RTO Office computer took about two to three hours to reflect the fee payment, I had to wait before submitting my application on the same day.

About a month later, I received a message stating that my application had been successfully scrutinised. However, I did not receive the renewed DL.

Another two months passed, after which I visited the RTO Office to enquire about the delay. I was told that my photograph and biometric details were required. I furnished them and returned.

However, I have still not received my renewed DL. This is the state of affairs at RTO (East).
