Demand for Panchen Lama’s release

Mysuru:  The Tibetan Youth Congress and Regional Tibetan Women’s Association of Bylakuppe, Hunsur and Kollegal, has urged the Chinese authorities to release 11th Panchen Lama, who was abducted at the age of six.

Addressing a press conference at the Patrakartara Bhavan here yesterday, Lobsang Dorjee said “Today he is 29-years-old and has become the longest held political prisoner. The Tibetans and supporters, all over the world are concerned about his whereabouts, his education and well-being.”

The Chinese authorities should release him immediately and grant him freedom to lead a normal life and the Chinese  should also free Tashi Wangchuk and other political prisoners, demanded Dorjee.

Tserin Lakkap, Tenzin Dolma,  Chung Tserin and others were present at the press meet.
