New Delhi: Farmer Unions, which are opposed to the Centre’s Farm Bills, have called for a Bharat Bandh on Dec. 8 to press the Government for repealing the Bills, which they said were detrimental to the interests of the farmers.

The decision on Bharat Bandh was taken on Friday at a meeting of Unions from Punjab, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh and other States at the Delhi-Haryana border, where scores of farmers are protesting for over a week demanding immediate repealment of Farm Bills introduced by the Centre a couple of months ago.
