Dengue scare: MCC takes up fogging work

Mysuru: The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) this morning took up the fogging works at areas coming under Ward 37. Fogging works was taken following the death of a girl around 15 days back in the area.

Corporator Rajalakshmi Shivanna had complained about the increase in number of fever cases in the area and had requested MCC to take up the fogging and other works to stop the breeding of mosquitoes.

Meanwhile, the District Administration is also taking precautionary measures through Department of Health and Family Welfare.  The officials have been clearing stagnant water, old tyres, tender coconut shell and plastic bottles dumped on road.

Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep urged the officials to take initiative to prevent the spread of mosquitoes.
