Deputy Commissioner gives tips on improving SSLC, PUC results

Mysuru: In a bid to boost the performance of students studying in Ashram Schools and other Residential Schools, Deputy Commissioner (DC) D. Randeep gave some valuable tips to the authorities concerned here recently.

Chairing over a meeting of Head Masters and Hostel Wardens of Residential Schools and Hostels run by the Social Welfare Department, Tribal Welfare Department, Backward Classes Welfare Department and SC/ST Welfare Department at Dr. Babu Jagjivan Ram Bhavan in Vinayakanagar here, Randeep said that the Government has taken many measures for improving the performance of SSLC and PUC students residing in the hostels and Ashram Schools.

Stressing on the need for following a uniform teaching method in the Residential Schools, the DC said that it was important to hold special classes for boosting the results.

Pointing out that an action plan is being prepared for improving the performance of students, he said that preparatory exams must be held once in three months in order to evaluate the academic preparedness of students. Calling for organising smart classes for high school students, the DC said that the authorities should ensure proper maintenance of hostels and schools.

He also urged the school heads and wardens to ensure 100 percent result for the district in the next academic year.

ZP CEO P. Shivashankar too addressed the meeting. District Backward Classes Welfare Officer G.S. Somashekar Jigani, District Social Welfare Officer B.S. Prabha, District Girijan Development Officer C. Shivakumar and other officials took part.
