September 10, 2026

Mysuru: Four staff, attached to Narasimharaja (NR) Sub-Division of Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC), have been suspended on charges of dereliction of duty.

Those suspended are Assistant Engineers Kiran and Nahida Anjum, Junior Engineer Nagendra and Meter Reader Afsar Pasha.

They have been accused of wrongly entering the building measurement and installing the meter of the Corporation instead of not making the customer purchase the same.

Based on the report from the CESC Vigilance Squad, it came to be known that the four CESC employees had caused financial loss to the Corporation and as there were chances of the four employees changing documents or tampering with the evidences, the four employees have been suspended and a Departmental enquiry has been ordered.
