Devotees banned from entering temples on Shravana Saturdays

Mysore/Mysuru: As a measure to control the spread of COVID-19, the District Administration has banned entry of devotees to Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple in front of the Palace North Gate, Sri Rama Temple at Chunchanakatte in K.R.Nagar taluk and all other temples coming under Muzrai Department and Private Managements, on all Saturdays during Shravana Masa (Month), starting from tomorrow.

In a press release, Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G.Sankar said that the entry of devotees to the temples have been banned on July 25, Aug.1,8 and 15 and all festivals and fairs during the Shravana month have been cancelled. However, the temple priests can perform  customary rituals within the temple premises in the presence of staff, the release said.
