Mysuru: Six achievers from different fields will be conferred with ‘Dhwani Kotta Dhani’ award by the city-based Anveshana Seva Trust during the programme marking the 111th birth anniversary celebration of former Chief Minister late D. Devaraj Urs at the Institution of Engineers-India (IEI) on JLB Road at 4.30 pm tomorrow (Aug. 26).

DGP J. Arun Chakravarthy will present the award. Noted Vastu expert and Shirdi Sai Baba discourser Dr. D. Satish Chavan will preside. Trust Founder-President Arya Amarnath Raje Urs and President Dr. M.G.R. Urs will be the chief guests.

The awardees are: P. Venkataramaiah, former Vice-Chancellor of Kuvempu University, Shivamogga; P. Chandrashekar, Dy.SP, Kushalnagar, Kodagu; Vamanrao Bekal, Founder of Kannada Bhavan at Kasaragod, Kerala; Usha Narasimhan, President of Karnataka Women Writers Association, Mysuru district; Bapu Lingaraje Urs, Senior  Reporter, Star of Mysore and Mysuru Mithra; A.N. Ramesh, Actor and Director, Kaiga, Uttar Kannada district.
