Mysore/Mysuru: Marking the 110th birth anniversary of late former Chief Minister D. Devaraj Urs, the city’s Ursu Jagruti Academy Charitable Trust, in association with Anveshana Seva Trust, will confer ‘Dhwani Kotta Dhani’ award on six achievers from different fields at a programme to take place at the Institution of Engineers on JLB Road here tomorrow (Aug.29) at 10.30 am.
The awardees are: Bhramara Bahaddur (Educationist) from Bengaluru District, Dr. Jagannatha Shetty, Founder of Karnataka Karavali Samskrutika Okkoota, from Mandya district, Jagadish Shettar, senior yoga teacher from Dakshina Kannada district, M.N. Lakshminarayana Yadav, Photographer of Star of Mysore and Mysuru Mithra newspapers from Mysuru district, Girija Shankar Patil, a Goa Liberation fighter from Koppal district and Dr. Anand, an Associate Professor at Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences, Madikeri, from Kodagu district.
Former Tumakuru University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Y.S. Siddegowda will confer the award while Bengaluru Kanteerava Studio former Chairperson Vijayalakshmi Urs will preside.
