Dilapidated building collapses, demolished

Mysuru: A portion of an old building, belonging to Lingoji Rao Ram Rao Uttarkar Trust, on Dewan’s Road, Sonar Street Cross, opposite Gokul Finance in Chamaraja Mohalla, which had weakened due to recent rains collapsed this morning forcing the Police to instruct the Trust authorities to demolish the building to prevent fatalities.

Luckily no one was injured when the building collapsed.

Following instructions from the Police, Trustee Kiran summoned two JCBs to the spot and supervised the demolition of the building, said to be about 150-years-old.
