Dilapidated condition of roads; callous attitude of netas

December 5, 2022

Sir,

This is with reference to my letter on pathetic condition of Balakrishna Rao Road near Ashoka Circle, popularly known as Ballal Circle, leading to K.G. Koppal in SOM dated Sept.27, 2022 (see pic taken on  Sept. 27). Till now the authorities concerned have turned blind to the issue.

The road has become so horrible that it is not conducive even for walking. It is a matter of shame on the part of  the elected representatives including MPs, MLAs and Corporators for not bothering to take action.

I regret to say that we have elected representatives who are only power-mongers and not interested to do service to the people who voted for them.

When we pay hefty tax to the City Corporation every year, I don’t know where tax-payers money will go.  A large number of people from other localities too commute via this road. Virtually they have to keep their life at risk before crossing the road especially during nights. Already a few freak accidents have occurred on this road.

This clearly shows the apathetic, careless attitude of the elected representatives and MCC authorities. It is high time for them to realise at least now to repair this unmotorable road and save the lives of people who commute along this road.
