Diploma courses for differently-abled at Jss Polytechnic

Mysuru: JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Jss Polytechnic for the Differently Abled, JSS Technical Institutions’ Campus, Mysuru, has invited applications from differently-abled (handicapped) students for admission (on All India Basis) to the following 3-year diploma courses for 2019-20:

1. Architecture, 2. Commercial Practice Aided Courses, 3. Computer Science and Engineering, 4. Jewellery Design and Technology, 5. Electronics and Communication Engineering Unaided Courses, 6. Computer Applications for the Visually Impaired.

Eligibility: A pass in SSLC or its equivalent examination with minimum 35% of marks along with Nature & Degree of Disability: a) Orthopaedically Handicapped – 40% and above, b) Hearing Impaired – 60db and above – for Courses 1 to 5 and c) Partial and total Visual Impaired – for Courses 2 & 6.

For Jewellery Design and Technology Course, normal students are also eligible for admission under JSS Mahavidyapeetha Scheme.

The knowledge of Braille is preferred for partial and total visually impaired students.  

Application forms can be obtained from the above Office or downloaded directly from the website www.jsspda.org. The filled-in applications should be submitted to the Polytechnic Office before June 15, according to a press release.
