Direct appointment of AEEs to Power Companies cancelled

Bengaluru: Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa said that the direct appointment of Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs) in Power Corporations of the State will be done away with. Speaking at a programme organised by Power Companies (Bescom, Chescom, Mescom, Gescom, Hescom) at Bengaluru on Tuesday, Yediyurappa said that the direct appointment has been cancelled taking into consideration the concerns of over 2,000 engineers serving in power companies for years and awaiting promotion.

Following the cancellation of direct AEE appointment, the Government plans to promote graduate engineers, who have been serving for 9 to 13 years as AEEs, he added.
