Disabled Welfare Officer instructs to provide disabled-friendly facilities

Mysuru: The  District Disabled Welfare Officer has asked the Heads of all Hospitals, Primary Health Centres (PHCs), other Medical Institutions, Rehabilitation Centres, Temples, Cinema Houses, Commercial Complexes and Malls, Hotels, Railway Stations, Bus stands, Kalyana Mantaps and such other public places to provide disabled-friendly and barrier-free facilities at their respective premises, to physically-challenged persons within three months, in accordance with the persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995.
