Bengaluru: Minister for Housing, Wakf and Minority Welfare B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan has announced that he will be conducting District-level Janata Darshan across the State from Aug. 1.
The Minister said, ‘I have decided to go to the people to prevent them from visiting Bengaluru for availing various benefits and facilities provided by the Departments of Housing and Minority Welfare.’
Zameer Ahmed, who conducted a progress review meeting of Karnataka Slum Development Board here recently said, ‘Every month I will be holding Janata Darshan at District-level for two days. All the Taluk-level Officers of the district from both the Departments (Housing and Minority Welfare) will be present at Janata Darshan.’
He also issued a deadline of two months for the Officers of both the Departments to redress grievances of the people. If any complaints are received during Janata Darshan or any discrepancies are found at the Officers-level, action will be initiated against such Officers on the spot, warned the Minister.
