District Minister lauds MLA Ramdas for vaccination drive

Mysore/Mysuru: Lauding KR MLA S.A. Ramdas for launching COVID testing and vaccination drive on a large scale in his (Ramdas) constituency, District Minister S.T. Somashekar said that Ramdas has responded to the difficulties of the people during COVID-induced lockdown.

He was speaking at the felicitation programme for Doctors and other medical staff who were responsible for the success of vaccination drive in K.R. Assembly segment, held at Pramti Hillview School premises in Kuvempunagar here on Monday.

Pointing out that Ramdas was instrumental in getting the people of K.R. Assembly segment tested and vaccinated for the deadly pandemic, Somashekar said that the Government is making all efforts to prevent the third possible wave of the deadly virus.

MLA Ramdas said that COVID testing and vaccination drive was launched at booth-level in K.R. Assembly segment in early June itself. Maintaining that so far 1 lakh people in the Assembly segment have been vaccinated, he said that the vaccination drive is expected to be complete in a day. He thanked doctors, other medical staff and all other officials for their co-operation in making the drive a huge success.

Cauvery Hospital Head Dr. Chandrashekar, Kamakshi Hospital Trustee Dr. Mahesh Shenoy and  Gopala Gowda Shanthaveri Memorial Hospital Accounts Officer Sharath were felicitated on the occasion.

MP Pratap Simha, MCC Commissioner G. Lakshmikantha Reddy, MUDA Chairman H.V. Rajeev, Corporators Shivakumar, B.V. Manjunath and Sunanda Palanetra, BJP leaders M. Vadivelu, J. Nagendra Kumar and others were present.
