Car, mobile phones, worth lakhs of rupees recovered
Mysore/Mysuru: In three separate cases, the District Police have arrested three accused and have recovered a car, mobile phones and other stolen items worth lakhs of rupees from them.
In the first case, Nanjangud Rural Police have arrested a person on Mar. 2, on charges of stealing a welding machine, cable wires, battery and iron items worth Rs. 1.5 lakh from a workshop belonging to Sharukpasha at Sinduvalli village in Nanjangud taluk.
During interrogation, the Police came to know that the accused was involved in 10 theft cases in K.R. Nagar, Hunsur, Chamarajanagar, Pandavapura, Kikkeri, Srirangapatna and Bellur Police limits. Based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered the stolen items from him.
In the second case, the District Police with the help of CEIR portal, have tracked 100 stolen mobile phones and have returned the same to the owners.
In the third case, Periyapatna Police have arrested two accused, who had taken a car belonging to M.C. Nasir Khan of Hunsur on rent on Feb. 12 and later assaulted Nasir with a cutter before snatching Rs. 700 cash and the mobile before fleeing with the car.
The Police, who have arrested the two accused, have recovered the car.
