District Police run for unity in city

Mysuru, Oct. 31 – Mysuru District Police conducted Unity Run as part of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) to commemorate 150th birth anniversary of former Deputy Prime Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in city this morning.

The Unity Run was flagged off by SP N. Vishnuvardhana from the SP Office premises in Nazarbad. The 5K Run passed through Nazarbad, Zoo, Lalitha Mahal Road, Karanji Lake, Horse Park, Chamundi Vihar Stadium before culminating at SP Office. Earlier, the SP administered the oath on the Preamble of the Indian Constitution before flagging-off the run.

Additional SPs Nagesh and C. Mallick, Dy.SP (South Rural) T.B. Rajanna, Inspectors Shekar, Satish, Shivananja Shetty and others were present. Personnel from Directorate of Civil Rights and Enforcement (DCRE), District Women, South and CEN Police Stations participated in the Unity Run.
