DKS Govt. 100 days: Palace, KRS Dam bathe in hues

September 11, 2026

Mysuru/Mandya: Marking 100 days of governance under Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar (DKS), the Information Department illuminated the Mysore Palace and the Krishna Raja Sagar (KRS) Dam last night.

The illumination will continue for the next three days. While the Mysore Palace is illuminated regularly on Sundays and special occasions, last night’s display was different, with the heritage monument bathed in vibrant, colourful decorative lights reflecting the colours of the Kannada flag.

The spectacle was further enhanced by the presence of elephants parading in front of the Palace, with the jumbos raising their trunks in salute.

At the KRS Dam, colourful lights were installed across different sections, transforming the reservoir into a glittering attraction after dark.

The illumination added to the beauty of the Dam and drew the attention of tourists and members of the public.
