Mandya: In a bizarre incident, the body of an unidentified woman who is believed to have been murdered, was found severely mutilated with street dogs chewing off several parts at Hemmige village in the outskirts of the district on Friday.

Following a tip-off that the mutilated body of a woman was lying close to a Jaggery Unit, the villagers rushed to the spot and alerted the Police.

The Mandya Rural Police who visited the spot, suspect that the woman might have been murdered elsewhere and the body dumped at an isolated spot near Hemmige.
