Donations pour in during pandemic times

Federation of Mysuru Petroleum Traders donated 2,000 litres of petrol for the volunteers working at the COVID Telecare Centre. This was donated to MCC Commissioner Shilpa Nag on June 1 in the presence of Rtn. S.K. Dinesh, Secretary of Indian Oil Dealers Association Ranjith Hegde, other Rotarians and petroleum dealers.

B. Kumar, proprietor of Varsha Cables and S.Devaraj, proprietor of Shreyas Medicals in city, have together donated medicines, medical equipment and Oxygen masks worth Rs.5 lakh to the District Hospital towards treatment of COVID patients. MLA L. Nagendra handed over the medicines to the District Hospital authorities at a programme held at the Hospital on Thursday. Corporator Pailwan Srinivas, former Corporator Girish Prasad, BJP leader Somashekar Raju, District Hospital Medical Officers Dr. Rajeshwari, Dr. Nayaz Pasha, Dr. Aravind, Dr. Mallika, Dr. Mohan, Dr. Meena, Saleena and others were present.

Malabar Gold and Diamonds, near Sub-Urban Bus Stand on Bengaluru-Mysuru Road, donated 300 grocery kits to Goldsmith Association to be distributed to the needy goldsmiths. Malabar Gold Store Head Sharaffuddin, Store employee Gireesh, Association President Mallikarjun and Vice-President Venkatesh were present.
