The BJP yesterday said that Congress, instead of sacking Minister K.J. George, was casting aspersions on the Supreme Court.

Addressing a press conference here yesterday, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that the Supreme Court had rejected the CID probe into Dy.SP M.K. Ganapathy’s case lock, stock and barrel and handed over the investigation to the CBI.

Pointing out that the Apex Court asked the CBI to investigate the case for a fair investigation, he said that he was amazed at the Congress leaders questioning the motive of the SC. Javadekar further said that Siddharamaiah’s contention that  the CID had filed a ‘B’ report in the case cannot be accepted.
