August 28, 2017

Mysuru: Unable to bear the harassment for dowry by her husband, a woman has lodged a complaint against her husband at Women’s Police Station in city.

The woman, who has lodged the complaint, has been identified as Jyothi, a resident of Jayanagar here, while her husband has been identified as Anand.

According to the complaint, Jyothi and Anand were married in 2015 and Anand was given enough dowry at the time of marriage. But as days went by, Anand, listening to Mahadeva, Bhagyamma and Madhu, began to harass Jyothi for dowry and demanded her to bring Rs. 2 lakh from her parents’ house besides assaulting her and threatening to kill her.

Fed up with this, Jyothi has lodged a complaint against her husband and others at Women’s Police Station.
