DPS Mysore Cadets conduct water body cleaning drive

June 15, 2026

Mysuru: As part of the Nationwide Puneet Sagar Abhiyan, 40 NCC Cadets of Delhi Public School (DPS) Mysore conducted a water body cleaning drive in Varuna and collected approximately 400-kg plastic waste from the water body and its surrounding areas.

The cleanliness campaign was carried out under the guidance and supervision of Second Officer M. Mamatha Prasad, who motivated the Cadets to actively contribute towards environmental conservation and community welfare.

Displaying remarkable enthusiasm, discipline and teamwork, the Cadets worked diligently to remove plastic waste and raise awareness about the importance of keeping water bodies clean. The initiative aimed to promote environmental responsibility and encourage sustainable practices among the younger generation.

The drive served as a step towards protecting natural resources and fostering a sense of civic responsibility among the Cadets. It also reflected NCC’s commitment to nation-building.
