Dr. Appajigowda (62), retired Professor of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) and a resident of SBM Layout, passed away yesterday in city.

A native of Naatanahalli in K.R. Nagar taluk of Mysuru district, he leaves behind his wife Vinutha, son Dr. Chiranth and a host of relatives and friends.

Dr. Appajigowda had served at Maharaja’s College, Vidyavardhaka Educational Institutions and as Head of the Department of Anthropology at KSOU, Mysuru.

Last rites were performed at his native place this morning.
