Mysuru:  Dr.R.K. Prasad (59), eldest son of legal expert Dr.C.K.N. Raja and a resident of Kuvempunagar, passed away this morning following heart attack.

Dr. Prasad, who had gone for a walk today morning, complained of severe chest pain upon returning home, following which he was rushed to a private hospital, where he breathed his last after failing to respond to the treatment.

He leaves behind his wife Dr. Gayathri Prasad, an Ophthalmologist at Sushrutha Eye Hospital in city, son Aditya and a host of relatives and friends.

A Paediatrician, Dr. Prasad was running Child Care Clinic at Nanjangud since 40 years and had recently shifted to a bigger premise on Rashtrapathi Road.

Last rites will be performed after his son returns from abroad and the body will be kept at the cold storage unit at JSS Hospital till then, according to family members.
