Mysuru: Dr. K. Dharanidevi Malagatti, Principal of Police Training School, Mysuru, has been transferred as Superintendent of Police (SP) of Kolar district. Shekar H. Tekkanavar, SP of Internal Security Division, has been chosen to succeed Dr. Dharanidevi Malagatti as the Police Training School Principal. An order to this effect was issued by James Tarakan, Under-Secretary to the Government.

Dr. Dharanidevi, who is a senior IPS Officer, also worked as a Deputy Director of Karnataka Police Academy (KPA). During her tenure, she completed the new building of Training School, renovation of Parade Ground and the compound work of the Parade Ground. She also took interest to provide basic infrastructure facilities to Probationers and in obtaining grants from the Government for various development activities of the training school.
