Justice K.S. Mudagal inaugurates Lions Region Meet in city

Mysuru: The Lions Region Meet of Region XI of Lions District 317A was held on Feb. 27 at MBCT Auditorium in city.

Region Chairperson of Region XI Ln. Prathima Ramesh was the presiding officer. Karnataka High Court Judge Justice K.S. Mudagal was the chief guest. Lions International Director Ln. K. Vamsidhar Babu was the keynote speaker. Past District Governor Ln. K. Devegowda was the guest of honour.

District Governor Ln. Dr. Prabha Murthy, along with immediate Past District Governor Ln. G.A. Ramesh, 2nd Vice District Governor Ln. Suresh Ramu, District Cabinet Secretary Ln. Dr. Sundarmurthy, District Cabinet Treasurer Ln. L.V. Srinivas and host of Cabinet members, Lion members and invitees attended the event.

While addressing the delegates, Justice Mudagal appreciated the humanitarian service rendered by the Lions Clubs International.

Ln. K. Vamsidhar Babu spoke on theme of the event being ‘Quality A Way of Life’.

He said that in this fast lifestyle, the degree of happiness and contentment has been observed to have taken a toll.

The life has become more materialistic and the personal relationships as become more objective instead of natural emotional bondage which used to be existing in yesteryears.

Quality of life is the degree to which an individual is healthy, comfortable and able to participate in or enjoy life events.

He also emphasised on how Quality acts can make each Lions Club improvise itself as a vibrant, image building, most respected Club in the community comprising of dedicated resourceful members.

Ln. K. Devegowda was honoured on this occasion.

As part of the service activity of Region Meet, vegetable vending push-carts were donated to the needy persons.

Lions Club of Mysore Gangothri was awarded 1st prize, Lions Club of Mysore Garden City – 2nd, Lions Club of Kuvempunagar – 3rd and Lions Club of Mysore Main with a consolation prize for banner presentation.

Ln. C.D. Krishna and Lion Prathima Krishna compered.
