Mysore/Mysuru: Renowned Yoga guru from Mysuru, Dr. K. Raghavendra Pai, originally from Karkala, has been appointed as Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Vyasa Bharati Triyoga University in the United States, an institution dedicated to the promotion of Sanatana Dharma, Yoga and Vedic knowledge traditions.
Dr. Pai earlier served as the Yoga Director of the SDM Yoga and Moral Education Project at Dharmasthala. He is currently a Member of the Yoga Certification Board under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. He has also served as a Member of the National Education Policy (NEP) syllabus committee.
He was a Visiting Professor at the Swami Vivekananda Study Chair in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Mysuru, where 13 scholars completed their Ph.D under his guidance.
Dr. Pai has established the Sri Vedavyasa Yoga Pratisthana in Mysuru, where he is actively engaged in research and training in Yoga and Dasa Sahitya. He is also associated with the authorship of ‘Gamana Yoga Sutras’ and the ‘Yoga Vishwakosha.’
A distinguished Yoga exponent, Dr. Pai has trained thousands of Yoga teachers and students across India and abroad. He is widely known for developing the concept of ‘Yogic Walk – Gamana Yoga Sutras’ and for his contributions to value-based education and the global promotion of Yoga.
Dr. Pai has received several National and International honours. Through Vyasa Bharati Triyoga University, he aims to integrate ancient Indian wisdom with modern education systems and promote holistic human development rooted in Bharatiya knowledge traditions.
