Dr. Manikarnika’s book on Anatomy and Physiology released

Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. H.R. Manikarnika’s book titled ‘Shareera Rachana Shastra mattu Anga Rachana Shastra’ was released at an event organised jointly by Sri Patanjali Yoga Studies & Research Centre, Mysuru and Tumakuru, Karnatak Sanskrit University, Bengaluru and Patanjali Yoga Foundation, Mysuru, on May 1 at the under-construction building of Sri Patanjali Yoga Studies & Research Centre in Lalithadripura here.

The programme started with Vedagosha by Ganesh and invocation by Umakanthi and Shobha Rani. Kalajianna welcomed. Prof. V. Girish Chandra, Registrar, Karnatak Sanskrit University, Bengaluru, released the book and spoke about the book. He appreciated the narration of the subject in the book which was written in 12 chapters.

He lauded the writer for using the  simplest language which will be helpful to students as well as common man to understand the subject in their own language.

Dr. M.V. Jayarevanna, Asst. Professor, Karnatak Sanskrit University, Bengaluru, also spoke about the author.

Author Dr. Manikarnika explained the reason behind writing this book. She spoke about Ashtanga Yoga, how it helps in controlling the mind and keep the body healthy.

She thanked the Yoga bandhus who inspired her to write this book. N.S. Sathyanarayana, Principal, SPYS & RC, Mysuru, Chennabasappanna, Principal, SPYSS & RC, Tumakuru, spoke about the book and the author.

K.S. Ravishankar, SPYSS, Mysuru and G. Krishnappa, Trustee PYF, Mysuru, also spoke. K.S. Gopala Krishna presided over the function. Srinivasa Naidu proposed a vote of thanks.
