Mysuru:  Dr. Nilagiri M.Talawar has been appointed as the Director of Kuvempu Institute of Kannada Studies (KIKS), University of Mysore, for the second time. He will be replacing KIKS Director Prof. Priti Srimandar Kumar.

Dr. Talawar, who is a very popular teacher among the students, was the Director between 2012 and 2014.

He later served as the Registrar of Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University.

Now he is appointed as the Director of KIKS for a period of two years.
