Mysuru:  Dr. R. Venkatesh recently took charge as the new District Health Officer (DHO) in place of Dr. B. Basavaraju, who was transferred on Mar. 8. He was greeted by K.R. Hospital Resident Medical Officer (RMO) Dr. Rajesh with a bouquet.

Dr. Venkatesh had served as the District Health and Family Welfare Officer at Hassan and had served for over 28 years as a Gynaecologist at Somwarpet, Tumakuru and other places.

Speaking after taking charge as the DHO, Dr. Venkatesh said that he would do his best so that the Government benefits and facilities would reach the public and try to see that quality treatment would be provided to the public at all Taluk Hospitals.

Dr. Basavaraju has still not been given posting.
