Dr. Raghunandan Balaji passes away

Dr. Raghunandan Balaji (38), Assistant Professor, Department of Paediatric Surgery, JSS Medical College and Hospital and a resident of Ramakrishnanagar I Block, passed away at a private hospital last evening following a  brief illness. He leaves behind his mother, wife, brother and a host of relatives and friends.

A native of Tumkuru, Dr Balaji did his MBBS from Vijaynagara Institute of Medical Sciences, Bellary and his MS from Sawai Man Singh Medical College, Jaipur. He did his Paediatric Surgery from St. John’s Hospital, Bengaluru. Before serving at JSS Medical College and Hospital, he was the Assistant Professor, Department of General Surgery at Mysore Medical College and Research Institute.

His last rites were held at the crematorium at the foot of Chamundi Hill this afternoon.
