Reading K.B. Ganapathy’s Abracadabra titled ‘Guess who will be the President and Vice-President of India!‘ in yesterday’s Star of Mysore, I was reminded of an incident at a Book Club function (Oct.12, 2018) where Dr. Sudha Murty was the chief guest.

The previous day (Oct. 11, 2018),  Star of Mysore had carried an Abracadabra titled  ‘Eureka! The President of India 2022 !’  suggesting that Dr. Sudha Murty be made the President of India in the 2022 election for the Office.

At the Book Club function, I grabbed the opportunity in the middle of the proceedings and told the chief guest Dr. Sudha Murty about the previous day’s Star of Mysore article where a suggestion was made that in 2022, she be made the President of India.

To this, her instant response, pointing at Ganapathy who was also present at the function, was: “Why not, if Ganapathy’s Cabinet agrees for me?”

Her remark led to loud clapping by the audience, most of them ladies, and cheering all around.
