Mysuru:  Sri Krishna Gana Sabha too has arranged Sri Jayachamaraj Wadiyar’s Centenary celebrations  on July 19 (Friday) at 6 pm at Alwar Kala Bhavan in Gokulam 3rd Stage, Mysuru.

The celebrations will be inaugurated by Nadoja Dr. Manu Baligar, President, Kannada Sahitya Parishat. Prof. Hemalatha will speak on the 25th Maharaja of Mysore Sri Jayachamaraja Wadiyar. Sabha President B.S. Sridhara Raj Urs will preside.

On the occasion, Dr. Sukanya Prabhakar and her disciple Vidushi Medha Manjunath will sing the Kruthis of Jayachamaraja Wadiyar. Vidwan H.K. Narasimha Murthy on violin,  Vidwan G.S. Ramanujam on mridanga and Vid. V.S. Mahesh on ghata will accompany them. The programme is sponsored by Devotees of Music.

Incidentally, Dr. Sukanya Prabhakar, a musician of great repute and hailing from Mysuru, was awarded Doctorate  for her Thesis on the Kruthis of Maharaja Sri Jayachamaraja Wadiyar and her thesis was published in a book form too.
