Mysore/Mysuru: The city’s renowned Danseuse and Natyarani Shantala awardee Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy will be conferred ‘Kadalishri’ Award at a programme organised jointly by Kadali Mahila Vedike and Akhila Bharatha Sharana Sahitya Parishat at Navajyothi auditorium of JSS College in Saraswathipuram at 10.30 am tomorrow (Apr. 18), marking the anniversary of the Vedike.
Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion. Former Kuvempu University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Chidananda Gowda will inaugurate the programme. Akhila Bharatha Sharana Sahitya Parishat President Prof. Maleyur Guruswamy will preside. ZP CEO B.R. Poornima, Sharana Sahitya Parishat City Unit President M.G. Sadanandaiah and District President Helavarahundi Siddappa will be present.
Marking the occasion, prosthetic equipment will be distributed to differently-abled persons.
The programme also features a Vachana Gayana by Shivarathreeshwara Akkana Balaga of Vijayanagar at 10 am, ahead of the start of the event.
