Mysore/Mysuru: Rotary Ivory City Mysuru felicitated renowned historian and author Dr. Vikram Sampath, on the eve of the release of Kannada version (“Nanna Hesaru Gauhar Jaan”) of his acclaimed biography “My Name is Gauhar Jaan” in Bengaluru.

This is potentially the first full-length book that is being translated to an Indian language using Bengaluru-based NAAV AI’s innovative TransLit technology with minimum human effort in editing and proof-reading.

Senior Rotarian Sunil Baliga praised Dr. Vikram’s meticulous research and his commitment to bringing forgotten Indian icons back into the cultural zeitgeist.

Dr. Vikram expressed his gratitude to the Rotary community, noting that the AI translation represents a new chapter in democratising historical narratives.

Noted violinist Dr. Mysore Manjunath and former CTO of Microsoft Dr. Rohini Srivathsa were the guests of honour.
