Seek permission to take part in State-wide protest on July 31
Mysuru: On the day when senior IFS officer T. Heeralal took charge as the new Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF), Mysuru Division, Deputy Range Forest Officers (DRFOs) from Mysuru Division presented a memorandum to him yesterday, seeking his permission to take part in the State-wide protest on July 31 to seek wage parity.
The DRFOs, who gathered at the CCF’s office in Aranya Bhavan, Ashokapuram, presented the memorandum seeking permission for them to attend the stir to be held at Bengaluru.
The DRFOs have been demanding wages on par with their equivalent cadre in other Departments such as Police, Revenue, Panchayat Raj etc.
Ponting out that they have been urging the Government to end wage disparity for the past 20 years, the DRFOs maintained that their fight for justice has remained only in correspondence with the authorities concerned and nothing much concrete has happened in ending wage disparity.
As such, the DRFOs have decided to launch a State-wide stir on July 31 and they would be taking part in the protest in Bengaluru on that day, they said.
New CCF: Senior IFS officer Heeralal took charge as the new CCF of Mysuru Division at Aranya Bhavan in Ashokapuram yesterday. A 2002 batch IFS officer, Heeralal had served at Haliyal, Hanur, Bidar, Sirsi, Bhadravathi, Davanagere, Gokak, Karwar and other places.
Heeralal, a native of Davanagere district, had also served as CF at Bandipur.
Now he has been promoted and posted as CCF of Mysuru Division, which comprises of Mysuru and Mandya districts.
