Mysore/Mysuru: Drinking water supply through the Hale Unduwadi Drinking Water Project will be made available within the next six months, said Chamundeshwari MLA G.T. Devegowda (GTD).
Stating that the project was nearing completion, he said it had been approved by the State Government during his tenure as Minister following sustained efforts from his side.
“After the project received approval, funds were released by the then Chief Ministers B.S. Yediyurappa, H.D. Kumaraswamy and Basavaraj Bommai, and now by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Once completed, the Constituency will receive 24-hour drinking water supply within six months,” he said.
He added that steps had been initiated to supply 60 MLD water from Kabini and a proposal had also been submitted for an additional 60 MLD supply.
Seeking public co-operation, GTD said the public meeting with district-level officers had been organised to identify and resolve long-pending issues.
“There are 3.75 lakh voters among the total population of 5 lakh in Chamundeshwari Assembly Constituency. I have been continuously working towards resolving the issues of the Constituency,” he added.
