Bengaluru: With Karnataka State reeling under drought, the State Cabinet on Thursday decided to convene a 3-day Special Session of the State Legislature from Sept. 21 to 23.
During the Session, matters such as drought relief works, declaration of drought-affected taluks, the measures taken by the Government for tackling drought, the drought relief package sought from the Centre, rain deficiency, drinking water supplies, crop loss, relief to farmers etc., will be discussed.
The Session will also discuss in depth the draft notification issued by the Centre on Kasturi Rangan Report, it is learnt.
