The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on yesterday filed an official complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) against Australian captain Steve Smith and middle-order batsman Peter Handscomb regarding the DRS controversy.
The development comes a day after the ICC in a press release had stated that it will not charge players from either team due to their conduct during the Bengaluru Test.
There was high drama in the middle of some great cricket as Australian captain Steve Smith was criticised by his Indian counterpart Virat Kohli for trying to bend the DRS rules when he waited for instructions from the dressing room over whether he should call for a review of his dismissal in the second innings.
Australian middle-order batsman Peter Handscomb, who was at the crease alongside Smith at that point, joined in to defend Steven Smith by taking to twitter, where he said that he had asked Smith to take instructions from the dressing room, as he was not aware of the DRS rules.
