Mysuru: The District Unit of Dalit Sangarsha Samiti (DSS) is organising a competitive examination on the Indian Constitution on Apr.12 and 20, to commemorate the 134th birth anniversary of the architect of Indian Constitution Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
This was disclosed by DSS District Convener C. Umamahadeva Alagudu, at a press conference held at Pathrakarthara Bhavan in the city recently.
“The exam will be held in two phases — qualifying exam will be held on Apr.12 at Degree Colleges of Mysuru and Chamarajanagar and the main exam on Apr.20 at the headquarters of both the districts,” he said.
Continuing, he said that students of PUC and SSLC are eligible for the examination. Qualifying exam will be of multiple choice model, where students are required to select the most appropriate answer among the three or four probable choices and it will be for 60 marks. Those who secure 20 marks in this are eligible to write the main exam, where students are required to write an essay on the subject ‘Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Avara Baduku Mattu Sadhane Mattu Bharata Samvidhana.’
The main exam will be held from 10.30 am and 12 noon.
The first prize winner in the main (essay) examination will get a cash prize of Rs.20,000, while the second and third prize winners will get Rs.10,000 and Rs.5,000 respectively.
State SC/ST Teachers Association, District Head Masters Association, SC/ST Primary and Middle School Teachers Welfare Association and Dr. Mallikarjun Kharge Abhimanigala Sangha and other organisations have extended their cooperation to organise the event.
