Mysuru: In separate raids on gambling dens, City Crime Branch (CCB) Police have seized Rs. 49,360 stake money, 16 mobile phones and 29 SIM cards from those indulged in gambling.
In the first case, the CCB Police, who raided a lodge on Nelson Mandela Road in Bannimantap on Mar. 26, found four persons indulged in online Grey Hound Dog Race and took them into custody besides seizing 16 mobile phones and 29 SIM cards used for the betting. A case has been registered at the jurisdictional NR Police Station.
In the second case, the CCB Police on Mar. 27 took eight persons, who were gambling under the streetlight on the 2nd cross in Belavadi village into custody and seized Rs. 49,360 stake money from them. Vijayanagar Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
