Dysfunctional Co-operative Societies to be liquidated

September 14, 2022

As many of the Water Consumer Co-operative Societies pertaining to  KRS, Kabini, Harangi and Hemavathi Projects coming under its jurisdiction, have become dysfunctional with no activities whatsoever for years, the Cauvery Command Area Development Authority (CADA) has decided to liquidate these Societies as per the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act. As  CADA (Cauvery) has thus far received no intentions  from the Societies’ members or the public for their revival, it has  invited objections, if any, from members of the public against  liquidation. The objections, along with supporting documents,  must be filed in writing within 15 days.
