Mysore/Mysuru: A month has elapsed since the issuance of B-khata under revamped e-swathu/ e-aasthi was launched by the State Government with much fanfare on Dec. 1, 2025, the prolonged technical glitches have proven an impediment in availing of the benefits by property owners in registration of properties in Gram Panchayat limits.
Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda had announced to issue B-khata for the residential sites developed and houses built on the lands without fulfilling the procedures of land conversion and plan approval. To facilitate the process with ease, Kaveri 2.0 software was also developed, with the provisions made for citizen login and login for Secretary of GP, Panchayat Development Office and the GP President.
According to the procedure, if any property owner applies for e-khata through citizen login, the officers should verify through their login, before approving the same. Or else, the e-khata will be automatically generated for the property within 15 days of receiving the application, according to the notification issued in this regard.
The Government had announced that the properties registered through sale deed at Sub-Registrar’s office, will be issued B-khata under e-swathu. Applicants should provide copies of tax receipt, electricity bill, pahani, encumbrance certificate and other property related documents.
Now, the technical glitches noticed in the software and the inaccessible server, has dampened the spirit of those waiting to obtain B-khata.
Speaking to Star of Mysore, Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy said, there were some errors in the newly developed software which were being rectified at Government level and will be resolved by this weekend.
