Mysore/Mysuru: Regretting that people who are highly educated tend to forget those who strived for the cause of Kannada land, language and literature, MUDA Chairman H.V. Rajeev said that this makes one feel that experience is more important than education.

He was speaking after inaugurating Kannada Rajyotsava, Rajarshi Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar Jayanti and Sir M. Visvesvaraya Jayanti organised by Sir M. Vishweshwaraiah Plumbing and Sanitary Labour’s Welfare Union, Mysuru, at Veene Seshanna Bhavan in Kuvempunagar here yesterday.

Recalling the yeoman services rendered by Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar and Sir M. Visvesvaraya, Rajeev said that the Association is celebrating Kannada Rajyotsava as a mark of respect for Kannada language.

He also complimented the Association for celebrating the Jayantis of Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar and Sir M. Visvesvaraya, who were instrumental in the irrigation of lakhs of acres of agricultural lands by constructing KRS Dam. He also lauded the Union for presenting ‘Pratibha Puraskar’ for meritorious children of its members.
