‘Education essential to solve problems in society’

67th Annual Day celebration at Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala

Mysuru: The 67th Annual Day Celebrations of Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala was held yesterday at its premises in Yadavagiri here.

Speaking as the Chief Guest, Bar Association of India Vice-President S.S. Naganand opined that education was essential to solve problems in society. He pointed out that specially-abled people can be brought to the main stream of society only through education and appreciated the ambience of the Vidyashala. He said that a society with truth, love and non-violence should be evolved and  added that achievement would wipe out the debility in a person.

Dexterity Global Founder and CEO Sharad Sagar asked students to take part in extra-curricular activities for an overall development. 

He pointed out that leadership skill is essential in the present context which would add credit to a personality.

The winners of the Sri Shambhavanandaji Memorial Inter-High School General knowledge contest are as follows.

10th Standard: 1. S. Dhyan (Sadvidya High School), 2. Y.S. Poorvik Gowda (JSS Public School) and 3. Prajwal (Sadvidya High School).

Special Prize: 1. K.B. Lahari (Marimallappa High School), 2. Y. Sohan Kumar (St. Joseph’s Central School), 3. U. Suhas (Sadvidya High School), 4. P.N. Disha (Sadvidya High School) and 5. N. Sujith Sohan (BVB).

9th Standard: 1. Rohit S. Murthy (Acharya Vidyakula), 2. G. Suvarna (Sadvidya High School) and 3. Vaishnav Kiran (Vijaya Vittala School)

Special prize: 1. Hrithwik S. Prasad (BVB), 2. Srinidhi B. Iyer (Sadvidya High School) 3. K.S. Anirudh (St. Joseph’s Central School), 4. R.B. Sanjiv (Savidya High School) and 5. Ridwa Rai (St. Joseph’s Central School).

Institutions: 1. Sadvidya High School, 2. Marimallappa High School, 3. Excel Public School, 4. St. Joseph’s Central School, 5. BVB. Overall championship was bagged by Sadvidya High School.

Gold Medal: M.N. Vihan (SSLC) and C. Gautham (2nd PUC) were given Gold Medal for performing well in all contests.

Punith T. Ghanti was presented with a Gold Medal for best behaviour.

Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama President Sri Muktidanandaji, Vidyashala Head Sri Yukteshanandaji, Principal Balaji and others were present.
